2024 Pinch detect fault litter robot 4

Edit2: after watching more videos it looks like there is a pinch sensor :(. But I hope someone can tell me if it has been improved to help stop or slow down corrosion. I have had the litter robot 2 and am using the litter robot 3 for a few years now. But the thing I hate most are the sensors. Specifically the pinch sensor and bonnet sensor.. The pinch sensors are simple, just two metal leafs that separate when a pinch is detected. The leaves however can get out of alignment or can corrode and disintegrate. Since our cats show very little interest I’ve rolled the dice and just bypassed the pinch detectors since they failed last. I would make sure it is seated correctly, and if you want to make extra sure you can remove it and then try a cycle. When it cycles, the globe rotates counter-clockwise until the hall sensor detects the magnet on the globe. It then stops, like it should.
